# Platinum (gpui-platinum)

> Controls for GPUI in the gray, beveled style of late-1990s desktops,
> written in Rust and drawn pixel by pixel. This site shows the library's
> example desktop as GPUI draws it; the desktop itself runs natively, not
> in the browser.

- Crate: gpui-platinum (imported as gpui_platinum); call gpui_platinum::init(cx) before the first window
- Install: gpui-platinum = { git = "https://github.com/firede/gpui-platinum", tag = "v0.1.0" }, with gpui and gpui_platform from https://github.com/longbridge/gpui-fast at rev "b836dd9", as the README lists them
- Needs: Rust 2024, gpui-fast v0.1.10 (b836dd9); an application's own GPUI dependencies must be on the same revision
- License: MIT; bitmap fonts from Platinum Fonts, OFL 1.1
- Languages of the controls' own words: English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean
